Since last month I've still been trying to configure these disc drives on my test machine. Someone finally whispered a clue that the some types of firmware for HP2490AM disc drives MAY not work on HP3000s, period. Could someone look at the firmware revisions from MAPPER below and confirm my suspicions before I rant on the vendor? : :DSTAT ALL LDEV-TYPE STATUS VOLUME (VOLUME SET - GEN) ---------- -------- -------------------------- 1-C3010M1 MASTER MEMBER1 (MPEXL_SYSTEM_VOLUME_SET-0) 2-C3010M1 LONER MEMBER2 (MPEXL_SYSTEM_VOLUME_SET-0) 3-C3010M1 LONER MEMBER3 (MPEXL_SYSTEM_VOLUME_SET-0) 4-C2490AM UNKNOWN 5-C2490AM UNKNOWN 8-C2490AM UNKNOWN :SYSDIAG ***************************************************************** ****** ****** ****** ONLINE DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM ****** ****** ****** ****** (C) Copyright Hewlett Packard Co. ****** ****** 1987, 1989, 1990, 1992, 1994 ****** ****** All Rights Reserved ****** ****** ****** ****** DUI Version A.02.25 ****** ****** Diagnostic Monitor Version A.02.31 ****** ****** ****** ***************************************************************** Type "HELP" for assistance.
