This applies to HP employees as well as all other speakers. It's the least we could do for the time and effort community members and HP employees are dedicating to these 2 and 3 hour sessions. There are no discounts to the SIG3000 meeting due to the very low cost we are charging, $100. This fee covers the cost of lunches. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- If the $100 for SIG3000 is to cover lunches, then why not issue HP employees a different badge that might say "brown bag it", and they'll get their own lunch, or some other solution to keep them around. Exceptions are if an HP employee is presenting a paper, lab or tutorial then he/she can attend for free just that session. If an HPemployee is a SIG liaison then he/she can attend that particular SIG for free. Otherwise, all HP employees need to pay the full conference prices. I double checked to make sure I have my facts straight.>>. My *guess* is there will be far fewer CSY folks attending these events. CSY is trying to spend money carefully and wisely, and may not send as many engineers to these events as we have sent to IPROF in the past. Maybe I've just been spoiled over the years by discounted or free admission to events like these, which I personally believe are quite valuable to CSY and to our customers.
