Call for Nominations: The Dr. Carolyn Thompson and Dr. Roger G. Brown Community Engagement Award The Faculty Senate invites nominations for the Dr. Carolyn Thompson and Dr. Roger G. Brown Community Engagement Award. Nominees should demonstrate sustained and/or significant community engagement within the metropolitan Chattanooga community including: * Participation of the faculty member as a member, volunteer, or board member with at least one local civic organization. * The faculty member’s interactions with community organizations, businesses, or other partners that facilitate the university’s engagement in or enhancement of life in our region. * The faculty member’s community activities that influence, engage, or support our students’ understanding of the importance of civic participation . * The award recipient will have demonstrated a commitment to the success of UTC students which ultimately leads to improved student retention and graduation rates. All University faculty are eligible to be nominated for this award.
