Students and Staff,

On Friday, March 1st, the CDC released new recommendations for COVID-19. These recommendations now follow those of other respiratory viruses such as Flu and RSV.

Isolation:

  *
If you are positive for COVID-19, stay home and away from others until symptoms have improved for at least 24 hours. If the fever is present, stay home until the fever has been gone without the use of fever-reducing medication (ie. Tylenol or Ibuprofen) for at least 24 hours. These recommendations remove the previous 5-day isolation period.
  *
Once returning to work or school, it is recommended to take additional precautions for 5 days following to curb disease spread such as good ventilation in spaces, washing hands and surfaces well and often, wearing a well-fitting mask, and keeping a distance from others.
