Actually, I just spoke with my ASE about this the other day. Apparently,
Predictive support is going to be (read: sometime in the future) be phased
out. They will be replacing it with a new product. We had this discussion
after trying to find out if the HP3000s predictive support will interact
with the HAO (High Availability Observatory) that is being given with CSS
support - currently it supports only HP9000s with no plans on support HP3000
predictive.

Supposedly this new software product is better than predictive, though I
suspect that it remains largely the same in functionality.

You know I talked with an HP RC person today and they said that HP
is
discontinuing support for predictive. Has anyone heard this??

After looking at Carly's remarks about platform commitment, I found
no
reference to the HP3000/MPE systems. Does this mean HP doesn't have
a
commitment to MPE? I sent her an email with this question.
