The last time I posted the results of MEMRPT, it said:

SYSTEM START TIME -- SUN, OCT 18, 1998, 9:09 PM
LAST ERROR CHECK TIME -- MON, JUL 22, 1999, 9:08 AM

which lead to some comments about the non-necessity of rebooting the HP3000.
Now that I rebooted over the weekend to check the memory cards (see related
message), MEMRPT says:

SYSTEM START TIME -- SUN, OCT 10, 1999, 5:44 PM
LAST ERROR CHECK TIME -- MON, NOV 29, 1999, 8:08 AM

However, I *know* that the SYSTEM START TIME should be NOV 26, 1999 as that
is the last START NORECOVERY I did, and in fact, I powered the system down
completely prior to rebooting. So what is the significance of the OCT 10,
1999 date? That is the last time we "reloaded" the system due to a disk
drive crash (actually an "INSTALL" followed by a RESTORE).

So, it appears that MEMRPT is reporting the "cold load id" date and not the
system start date as I commonly think about it (being the last time the
system was rebooted). Does this make sense to anyone else? Can we get the
"official" HP answer as to why the date being reported as the system start
date is not?
