Which begs the question: Has anyone looked at porting GPG yet?  GPG (GNU
Privacy Guard) is apparently a PGP compatible program that is written with
entirely GPLed code, meaning it is completely free of restrictions on use
for commercial or any other purposes and there should be no licensing issues
anywhere in the world (or so they say).
