Bill and Gavin make many good points about IPROF and the Solutions
Symposium.
I just ask that everyone consider this. Even though I've worked with the HP
3000 for over 20 years, I certainly do not claim to know everything about
everything. In fact, there are several topics listed for the SS that I know
next to nothing about and would like to attend. So it is not just for
newbies or relative newbies. I would be surprised if most old-timers do not
feel the same. But I would like to attend the "new" IPROF as well. And
HPWorld. My major point in my previous posting, and only time will tell, is
that by adding a third "conference" we may be forcing people into making
choices they would rather not make - and everyone suffers. It is going to be
very difficult for me to justify, even to myself, 2+ weeks a year out of the
office. It has to be even more difficult for people from smaller
companies/shops.
I still think making the SS part of HPWorld makes more sense - there are
already two days set aside for training seminars. But, again, only time will
tell.
