I believe your suggestion requires software that I don't have (see below).
Thanks to you and the others for the responses. I am now flush with options
... hoping the tape from Oracle shows up in Houston this morning.

Here's what I get when I try the store commands:

MGR.MM,PUB(1)HP927:file outx;dev=disc
MGR.MM,PUB(2)HP927:store upmmj;*outx;show
