With the help of Steve Cole at Outer Banks and Stan Seiler at Allegro we
found the cause of the performance problem we experienced when writing
records to a database with Autodefer Enabled. It was caused by XM not
really detaching itself from posix files! This appears to be a bug in MPE.

What I am looking for now is a solution/workaround for this problem. Any
thoughts from the group?
