Look at INETDCNF.NET.SYS file. Depending upon OS release, there is a
symbolic link that is points inetd.conf to INETDCNF.NET.SYS. You can confirm
this by:
LISTFILE /etc/inetd.conf,5.

If INETDCNF.NET.SYS does not exist, a sample file, INCNFSMP, exists in
NET.SYS.

Hope this helps
