Dr. Bill Gurley's family asked me to distribute the following message to
his UTC family.


To The University Community

We simply can not tell you how much the overwhelming love and support from
you meant to
Bill, and to us, over the past difficult months.  Bill was encouraged by
every visit, every
call, and every card.

He loved his work - his colleagues and his students - and until the very
end was making
plans to return to work there with you.

We are heartbroken over our loss, but Bill lived every day to the fullest
and he expects
the same from us.
