Dr. Greg Grant recently secured a $65,000 two-year grant from the Camille
and Henry Dreyfus Foundation to fund a post-doctoral fellow to conduct
research and teach in the Chemistry Department. During the 1999-2000
academic year, the Chemistry Department will carry out a national
recruitment campaign for the Fellow, whose area of expertise will be
inorganic chemistry. The Fellow will provide significant collaborative
opportunities for Dr. Grant, other faculty, and students at UTC.

Dr. Grant was one of only seven chemistry faculty in the country selected
to receive this award. This is the second Scholar Award that Dr. Grant has
received from the Dreyfus Foundation.

Honors of this kind are the best reflection of academic quality we have at
UTC. Please join the Office of Grants and Program Review in
congratulating Dr. Grant on this most prestigious award.
