Dr. Mark Schorr has received $32,591 through a contract with the City of
Chattanooga to support a final year of study of Chattanooga's urban
streams. Dr. Schorr, Assistant Professor of Biology and Environmental
Sciences, is the director of the study.
The goal of the study is to develop a baseline regarding the overall health
of Chattanooga's streams. The results of the study will be used to
prioritize water quality projects within the city, to develop long range
monitoring of water quality, and to meet the City's NPDES permit
requirements. The funding will be used for the computation and analysis
of data collected during the previous two years of the study.
Please join the Office of Grants and Program Review in congratulating Dr.
Schorr on this significant research grant.
