Sometimes a bad DTC or modem, which continously transmits signals or
garbage to a port, causing interrupts, will cause the system to
think someone is attempting to logon.  This causes the JSMAIN
process, which starts life in the BS queue, to check the input for
value logon info, thus placing a performance burden on the
system.  So you might check your modems/etc. to see if this is
what may be happening.
