My wife (an RN) came home from work and related the following story.

She always thought she was computer illiterate until she saw a nurse at
a work station. This nurse was using the mouse to navigate around the
terminal screen. Every once in-a-while this nurse would pick up the
keyboard and move the mouse under it.
My wife, being inquisitive, ask this nurse why she was lifting up the
keyboard.
The nurse replied, "I need to get the arrow at the bottom of the screen
to the top, and the keyboard always gets in the way. She then said,
"that's how I was taught by ........"

My wife said she almost fell on the floor laughing so hard! My wife
then explained she could pick up the mouse instead of the keyboard. The
nurse in question really liked the idea and would pass it on to other
nurses.

If they every use a mouse and computer screen to do surgery I hope they
teach the nurses to pick up the mouse. Or will they just lift up the
patient during surgery?
