This is a repeat of an earlier posting with some mods. Unfortunately, our
external email was down for a few days right after I posted my request, so
if you responded, please do so again and thanks.

For budget purposes we are being asked to provide outside recommendations on
staffing in our ops and sys mgmt functions.

Basically we are running 2 HP3000's (1 997 and 1 989) and one HP9000 K400.
The larger 3000 is our production machine running Amisys software. The
smaller 3000 is our development machine and also used for some shadowing and
reporting. We have about 800 users on the production machine and about 100
programmers/developers on the smaller box. The 9000 runs our imaging
application storing our claims info on optical jukeboxes. We are running
7 X 24 X 365 coverage. I'm looking for a suggested number of computer
operators and suggested number of HP system managers.

In addition to that I am also interested in a recommended number of
network/file server support staff required. I'd love to have some magic
formula like 1 tech for every 3 netware or NT servers or something like that
if one exists.

All replies greatly appreciated.
