Hello,

We are having a problem with a process (or pin) that has reached the limit
of 1024 files open per process. When we reach this limit, we get the error
message "TOO MANY FILES OPEN (FSERR 71)". The process opens so many files
because, it needs two files per interviewer, supervisor, and monitor, and
files related to the studies. This limits us to about 350 interviewers.

I have two questions,

Has anybody else reach the files open per process limit?

Could this be a bottleneck to have one process control so many files?

I have submitted an Enhancement Request to HP (number: 8606107218). The
response center did say that there have been no other requests for this
enhancement.

Best Regards,
