True...I omitted showing a C solution.  I tend to avoid the
HP_ALIGN pragma, because it doesn't seem to always work in
a predictable manner.

(E.g., HP_ALIGN MPE_16 is quietly ignored on HP-UX)

Hence, I've tended towards other solutions (like arranging
my structures so the "natural" PA-RISC alignment results in
no waste space).
