Raise a little Hell, i. e. go up the management chain and you
will get action.  I had a similar problem in my office with a
Vectra six years ago (the one I am using to send this message -
time to upgrade). As luck would have it the CE came to the office
when I was out.  He blamed the software.  I said no way and when
I got flack on this took it "upstairs".  The
next time HP came out the mother board was replaced.  Only
problems since have been a power supply and keyboard, both
replaced under warranty.

Tell HP to get off their butts and come out and fix the problem -
that's what "on site warranty" means!
