Isn't the problem below the usual one that we all forget the Reflection and/or 
minisoft file transfers between the HP3000 and any PC sneakily converts the 
HP file into a format acceptable to a PC, whilst FTP simply transfers the files 
"as found" (although  FTP between two HP3000's is an MPE extension) 

If you really need to FTP the file(s) consider converting them into bytestream on the HP, or
use the (less familiar) Shell options for converting files - see previous discussions on this list.

I am trying to ftp a file to a Windows 95 PC from the HP3000.  The record
size is   -300,1,f,ascii and when using Reflection transfer method it works
correctly.  If I ftp the file in ascii or binary it is not correct
