Hi Christian :)
   um... IIRC and my history teacher at Northwest Nazarene College ... er...
University (they just changed) was right ...one of the early Congresses did
actually take a vote on what would be the official language of the United
States... and English (or our form of it hehehe) won ... I can't remember the
other languages that were in the vote ... but I think German was one of 'em???
