Dr. Dana Wertenberger and the School of Nursing have received two awards
from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to support nursing
students.

One award of $18,330 will provide disadvantaged nursing students with
scholarships to enable them to pursue graduate degrees.  Another award will
provide $151,239 for undergraduate students.

This funding will enhance the educational opportunities for disadvantaged
nursing students as well as the capacity of our community to provide high
quality nursing for all individuals.  Congratulations to the School of
Nursing faculty on this award!  We appreciate your efforts to improve
health care for people in our region.
