I agree! (my opinion, not necessarily MBS's)

However, I would like to point out one thing. Client Systems (dba Phoenix/3000), I believe, is the
sole authorized distributor or USED HP 3000's in the US... not, as Stan Sieler put it... "Client
Systems is the only official HP 3000 distributor for the US (and Canada?).".

There will continue to be a variety of resellers throughout the US and Canada of new systems as long as
HP holds to the current marketing strategy and organization.

As for 3KWorld, I have held out on commenting because we are a company that seriously considered being
a founding company. MBS did notice the potential and the importance of an HP 3000 portal. My
(personal, not corporate) opinion is that I am disappointed that it is not hosted on an HP 3000! That
would be like Boeing setting about trying to convince the world of the superior quality of their
aircraft and yet flying nothing but Airbus Industries aircraft as they circumnavigate the globe with
their message.

As for the quality of the site. I think that remains to be seen. I don't believe that Client Systems
anticipated the volume of hits that they received at 3KWorld. This miscalculation did enormous damage
to the system... to the content... and to the perceptions that people have about the portal itself. I
say, let's give them some time to work out the kinks. If the site is not improved within 2-4 months, I
think we need to lower some gentle pressure on the powers that be at HP, Client Systems, and the
founding advertisers. Until then...

Glenn
