Jeff re-inforces such a vital part of systems development - benchmarking.

Too often, we find that new features in tools, languages and applications
run slower than they could if more care and responsibility had been taken
during development and testing.

If more programmers paid attention to optimising, our computing world would
be leaner, meaner and swifter.

Death to Bloat!

Regards

Neil

Hi all,

In the FWIW category I did some simple benchmarking on the 7 versions
of CI scripts, sent to 3000-L, that reduce consecutive spaces in a
string variable to a single space (without leading/trailing) spaces.
