I was also very impressed with Wirt's talk and Qcterm at
HPWORLD.  It
looks fantastic.  I have one slight quibble with one of his more
recent
postings.  Wirt says that the new line equipment will solve the
congestion
problem, which is the biggest problem that the Internet has.
Perhaps I
am cynical, but for years I have been hearing that this or that
new
highway will solve the traffic problem somewhere.  It seldom does
because the traffic builds up so quickly.  I am wondering whether
the
same thing will happen to the Internet.  Movies, heavy graphics,
telephone traffic increased text traffic may well soon swamp the
new capacity coming.

We shall see.
