Thanks to Bradmark for having sponsored the Proceedings CD for
HPWORLD '99 & ERP World '99.

The contents and the packaging are great but I wonder WHO was in
charge of the Installation Instructions, which are directed
exclusively to Windows users. Given the recent interest from Interex
regarding catering to as many audiences as possible, I think they
lost a golden opportunity to assert their "authority" in camps beyond
the narrow reach of "Windows".

Specifically, how about the Linux, Unix and Macintosh contingents?
(Ironically, Interex sponsored a Linux Summit -- or whatever it was
called -- at the same time as HPWORLD.)

I am happy to report that the CD works just great on the Mac. Would
other folks like to comment on Linux and Unix? I'm willing to bet
that they will be as pleased with the CD as I am.

The beauty of the Internet is that it is the great equalizer and ANY
platform that can read a standards-based CD (and that has a
standards-based browser) can enjoy the fruits of the labors of the
Interex folks who put this wonderful resource together (and which,
thanks to Bradmark's generosity, was made available to all of us).

Thanks, again. And please be more general in the future. Don't
limit yourselves unnecessarily by being too specific in your reach.
Some timid users might be scared by the "Windows-only" installation
instructions on the CD and might miss out on an outstanding resource.
On second thought (and by definition), there are NO timid users among
individuals whose platform of choice is NOT Windows :-)
