Hmmm. Reading the Transact/iX manual (which should be available on the
old LaserROM CD as well as the respective docs.hp.com web pages) might
be slightly cheaper than $850 (if cost is an issue). As far as I recall,
the manual isn't too bad for learning Transact (at least it worked for
me -- although some people might consider that a matter of discussion ;)

PS... Wasn't there also a "Getting started" for Transact/V on LaserROM?
