When I change software for Y2K, I usually leave the dates on
VPlus screens as they are, and just use the century in the
programs. (The users don't want to have to type in the century
all the time.)

When we have a date field on a form that is described as MDY
type, and the user enters, say, 402399 instead of 102399,
the error message that VPlus produces is
"The field must be a valid date, in MDY order.(YEAR = YYYY)"
This error message is leading to constant calls from users,
and requests to change the error message, because there is no
room to put in the YYYY date.
Is there a way to change this error message?
The alternative of making the field on the screen a CHAR field
and editing in the program would require changing hundreds of
programs.
