Virtual Terminal service uses TCP port 1537, telnet uses port 23. There
are no special gotchas in the VT protocol, so a simple proxy arrangement
will work fine.

To which Chris Bartram later replied:

1537 *or* 1570. Depending on whether it's in "streams" mode... You'll
probably
want to proxy both.
