Just to put David's mind at rest, yes PowerHouse is still available
for the HP 3000 (MPE/iX only these days), as well as the HP 9000, a
whole host of other UNIX machines, OpenVMS from Compaq, Windows NT,
and the AS/400. In fact, we're just putting the finishing touches
to PowerHouse Web for MPE/iX.
Details at http://www.cognos.com/powerhouse

In addition to those already mentioned there are still some 4GL products
Speedware is still available and supported, Powerhouse used to be - (not
being partisan I don't know the current status) to name but two , but
echoing what was already said - avoid non MPE/iX versions.

I was wondering what programming languages are available for the
HP3000. I'm aware of COBOL and then there is GNU C freeware BUT I need
something that releases of MPE predating POSIX could use, and the only
language I know (enough about to be useful) is C; so if anyone's got any
info, send it my way.
Thanks,
Nathan
