Dear HP3000-L listers,

Every now and then some objectionable posting gets through the filters that
Jeff Kell
and Joe Geiser have set up. Spammers work hard to be one step of the
filters and
anti-spam software. It's going to happen. When it happens, instead of
complaining,
and to the list no less, we should consider how must worse it would be if
the filters
were not in place and kept current. At home, I must get a dozen or more of
these
messages a day.

Griping about spam, and I believe every subscriber to the list finds it as
objectionable as the three (so far) people who have voiced their view to
the list,
merely repeats the spam that many more times.

If you get single posts (mail), use <delete> freely. If you get a digest,
use the
<page down> freely.
