MDSS still exists as they just sent my former company an updated version for
y2k.

I know they are in the process of dropping MDSS in favor of a non-HP
solution, and last I heard MDSS had very few remaining customers.

The software worked well enough, it is just very old code and has some
quirks that can drive you nuts(like storing dates in mddyy format). But it
does have some nice features.

MDSS was also the name of the company. However, I could not find them
either in the HP World vendor directory, or the vendor listing on 3K
Associates web site.  The SolutionStore3000 web site seems to be down right
now, so I could not look there.

I don't know if MDSS is still around and engaging in stealth marketing, or
if they have gone out of business, or have been absorbed by someone else.
