I wanted to make everyone aware of an upcoming web seminar
entitled 'Introduction to Java on the HP 3000'.  It will be
offered on August 10th at 10am PDT, and is a one hour
introductory level presentation presented using HP's
Virtual Classroom technology.

You can register for the seminar at

In addition to getting some introductory level material, there will also
be a chance to vote on proposed new features.  So you may have an
interest in attending even if you aren't in need of an introduction.

The seminar will be offered again on October 5th at the same time,
although I don't believe you can register for the second date at
this time.
