Here are a couple of sites with help for TLAs (Three-letter acronyms, but some are
longer than three letters <grin>)

http://icarus.uic.edu/~tbrann1/Gateway2000/Tla.html

and

http://www.ucc.ie/acronyms/

Use a search engine and search on "three letter acronyms" or "TLAS"

In a Galaxy Far Far Away, that is. It gets rather frustrating at times
trying to figure out some of these acronyms that are used, I guess, to
shorten the time it takes to key an e-mail. Sometimes they can be
figured out (roughly) by the context. But I have to admit that AFAIK
and AFAIR have me stumped. Is there a list somewhere of commonly used
e-mail acronyms?

TIA

Tom Hula
