Quite some time ago, on the day the story broke, Gavin suggested that HP
adopt a really punchy name, something like "Inprise" :-). I think HP has
outdone Gavin's wildest dreams.

I personally would have voted for "The Real HP" or "Hewlett-Packard-Terman"
or "HP Technologies". All kidding aside, I would have chosen the last name.
Looking at their web site, Agilent and HP are not making any attempt to
separate the new company from HP itself. Indeed, the web page gives you the
strong impression that it's nothing more than a division of HP rather than a
completely separate company.
