This wasn't pretty, but it worked.  I stored the files and then restored
them.  The restored files DID end up in the spooler, without any
dev/class info for a printer and with these strange report names (in
showout) that started with a V and then a string of numbers.  I was able
to make them print by doing a SPOOLF;DEV=5 (or whatever printer) and
they appear to be correct.  Thanks for the input.
