Thanks to everyone for their responses.  I had no idea what I was starting
when I requested that the question be posted!

Through this forum and by contacting HP and a couple vendors, I was able to
gather enough information to convince management that it does not appear to
be wise or cost effective to convert our 9000 to a 3000 at this time and
we've moved on to other issues.
