Thanks to those who have joined "Team HP3000-L" in the SETI@home project.

Even with only 6 members, we are 1/3 of the way to breaking into the
top 100 "clubs" in terms of units completed.

If we were registered as a University, we would be 1/2 way to the top 100.
As a "small company," we would rank #85.
As a "medium company," we would be 80% there.
As a "large company," we would be 95% there.

Not that any of this "ranking" stuff matters, of course.
It's just an interesting perspective.

One concern previously raised was whether one's individual statistics
would be lost by joining the team. The answer is: No; you keep your
personal stats. And if you're already a member of a team, switching
to Team HP3000-L would not affect your previous team's total units;
only new units would be credited to Team HP3000-L.

For your convenience, the URL to join the SETI@home "Team HP3000-L" is

http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/cgi-bin/cgi?cmd=team_join_form&id=20137

If you don't yet have the client software, start at

   < http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ >

and choose your platform: Mac, Windows, UNIX, Be, OS/2 -- just not MPE. :/
