Kevin,
I always look in the HPSWINFO.PUB.SYS file to see what version, patch
level and additional patches are on. I've seen all too many times when
the showme didn't jive with the actual patch levels. We are on pp4 and
our line looks like the following:
RELEASE: C.55.00 MPE/iX HP31900 C.05.08 USER VERSION: C.55.00
I even had a vendor try and tell me that I didn't have pp4 on, even
though I was telling him that I had put it on myself. I finally told
him to start checking the HPSWINFO file instead or relying on the
showme.
