a couple of weeks ago, 'we' were discussing putting an
account limit on the hpspool account as a means to prevent
the system volume from filling up. i think this is a
wonderful idea but on a box that's as dynamic as my 995-300,
i've got noooo idea what number i should use. so, i was
wondering if anyone has a clever (fast) way of sampling how
big an account is? what i have in mind is to have a job
that wakes up every 'n' minutes (10?), checks the account's
size, records it in a file then goes back to sleep. after
awhile, i should have collected enough data to make an
informed guess-timate. - d
