System Failure 1047 and Beta Patch PTDFD

Last week my company experienced a system failure 1047 on a HP 997-800
running MPE 5.5 pp 5.  PICS has told us that the failure has been
documented as SR 4701390617 and that a beta patch exists called PTDFD72.
   I have 2 questions, has   anyone on the list  also experienced this
failure and has anyone applied this beta patch to their system?  If so ,
I would be interested your experience.   TIA
