Martin,
I had a question like this a couple of years ago, except it was, "can you
convert a 3000 to a 9000?"  There are conversion kits for both 3000 to 9000
and 9000 to 3000.  At that time that only one that had been heard of was the
9000 back to the trusted 3000.
