Hello Friends @ 3000-l,

RE: FTP 6.0 File Transfer Performance is slow

This problem has been identified as SR 1653305250 for FTP/iX, but is
fixed in SR 4701-422329 for TCP. The problem is the default RECEIVE
window for BSD sockets is too small. The performance problem with
FTP/iX is seen on 6.0 and not 5.5 since FTP/iX on 5.5 calls NETIPC
sockets and FTP/iX on 6.0 calls BSD sockets.

SR NUMBER 4701-422329
XPORT 6.0, TCP receive throughput is about 2-3 times slower than HP-UX.

This fix is included in patch NSTFD97 6.0 BETA TEST. If you are
interested in this fix, please contact our friends at the HP-RC and
ask for fix to SR 4701-422329 patch NSTFD97.
