We're going through a similar exercise right now. We were told we had to
enable bridging on the router for the DTC protocol (I forgot the acronym
for it). We use telnet, not VT-Mgr. We also have OpenView.

We have remote sites that we need to connect that have DTC's.  The Cisco
routers will handle the IP traffic via routing (mostly p.c.'s via VT-Mgr).
Is the only way to route both IP and the DTC proprietary protocol to have
Openview DTC Mgr  running at the remote site?  What is the approx. cost of
the software, if it is needed?
