I have to admit that I have so far not seen any LJ 2100NT.
Does it have a display, saying something like 'load letter' ?

This sounds similar to problems we have seen outside the US with
customer printing banners on 'localized' printers that have other
papertray (non US Letter) formats; the first version of the network
spooler hardcoded defaulted to US Letter paper for banners.

If you have HEADON set for this printer, try it with HEADOFF LDEV#.
Depending on the OS version (5.5 or 6.0 ?) you use there is either a
patch or a new npconfig item.

If you are not using banners/trailers then it is a different problem.
