I am sorry for the HTML rather than plain text posting. Thanks to those who
enlightened me on this problem.

Thanks Tracey for the details of your Y2K upgrade of our equipment.

Although it might not be relevant to you all, I believe Y2K is a very
serious issue to anyone using a product which combines non-HP hardware with
their HP3000 environment. So here is my company's program:

<<plug>>
In our DOS-based fax servers, no upgrade option for Y2K is available. It is
time for a replacement.

In our Unix-based fax servers, an upgrade is possible for the Pentium-based
units. The Sun Interactive O/S just released in November 1998 is Y2K
compliant. We find it easier to send a new hard disc with this Y2K
compliant O/S loaded. Minimizes the down time. For the 486-based units, we
ship an upgraded BIOS card and memory. For the 386-based units, it is time
for a replacement (the new Y2K compliant O/S won't run on it).

In our NT-based fax servers, an upgrade is available as a service pack from
our buddies at Microsoft. We help them here too.
<<end plug>>

Finally, I hope that everyone on this list is finally on the correct HP3000
Y2K version by now!

Ben
