Joe,

I've seen it and it has happened to the individual's monitor that sits right next to me.  It is starting and I just looked again, with the monitor off and it is evident.  This is a NT system.

Lastly, everyone seems to think that phosphor burn-in will occur with
Windows.  I won't absolutely say that it happens, but I can say
categorically, that I have yet to see any burn-in from any Windows-based
computer.
