We have a Xerox 4890 (90 ppm) connected to our HP Series 70 !!!.  Of course,
that's an HP-IB interface.  Xerox makes a 135ppm printer that would likely
work as well.  The 4890 was just under $100k as I recall (list is much
higher, but Xerox can be worked down in price and/or you can go the used
route).  For a few $$ more, you can use a SPUR interface that will allow it
to be network attached and do standard LPR.
