Or /SYS/NET/PING, if you're a Posix fan

from mgr.sys, go to shell.
then, ping <addr>.
or, for fun, listf [log in to unmask]@.@,2
and run ping.<grp.usr> from mpe.
I sorta remember that it works, and
that it is in pub.sys<?>
